![]() Recount (or Skada, case in point Recount is not compatible) With the - "I spent 300 hours building X thing for Y game".ĭon't get me wrong - Weakauras is really neat, and can pull off some pretty snazzy graphics,īut, personally - I'll probably go with a lineup of: I found that it kinda intruded on my boundary of "This is a game i play for fun" - contrasting I can safely say, that despite several years of coding experience - for me, personally. I recall Weakauras, from when i tinkered around with the LUA-scripting. You cannot imagine wow without those tools, other people cannot imagine it without xmog for instance, should Blizz allow it? Comment by Doorsfan on T14:38:11-05:00 Yes, there is a way, far as I know addons are being banned in other MMOs. ElvUI, OmniCC and WA would be like nuclear weapon. I would use it to full extent, can't imaging WoW without it. For classic it will be WAY to powerful, but there is no way to create genuine 2005 experience without actual time machine anyway. I love weak auras, my favorite addon in WoW. This one add-on has the single highest probability to break classic immersion / it's general difficultyīut yeah it was inevitable, so oh well Comment by maxchum on T14:33:19-05:00 We are still working on ensuring that WeakAuras works well on Classic. That build of WeakAuras is very outdated by now. I will be so happy with my shaman watching clearly which earth/fire/water/air totem i'm using and when they decay. You cannot take a 1960’s car, install a whole bunch of modern technology in it and call it a classic lol Comment by dokenr on T14:31:32-05:00 I’m really not against using addons in Classic, but people should really stick to addons that have been used back then. Yet again this will become the standard required by raiding guilds. In my opinion WeakAuras is a massive overkill for vanilla encounters, which let’s face it are on the difficulty level of LFR with some minor exceptions. I simply cannot wait for the %^&*show when people start roflstomping and blame Blizzard for not recreating the authentic vanilla experience while in the same time they’re using tools, created for much more complicated encounters and gameplay. I'm guessing, since this is all built on Legion, it won't get recreated (considering the authors are probably long gone). I miss CT mod (including CT Raid Assist). EVERYTHING! Comment by wraithslayer on T14:25:21-05:00 And NO Blizzard didnt nerf those Raids later on. If you have an active account go in those classic Raids and face tank bosses for a minute and you will see they dont have mechanics to notice. You really dont need DBM for Classic Raids or Dungeons. We have BFA guides to both addons :) If both work for Classic, we'll likely highlight both. I haven't used DBM in years, but the last time I did it required me to spend a large amount of time disabling countless warnings that were just unnecessary, especially the audio ques which are just so excessive to the point of actually hurting your awareness instead of helping.īump Comment by perculia on T14:15:21-05:00 Then, you need to extract the addon in your Classic WoW folder, which will look something like this:īigwigs over DBM in my opinion. First, you must download the addon from WoWInterface or other Addon repositories. Installing addons in Classic follows the same flow as installing one manually in retail WoW. If done correctly, it will show a pop-up with details of the Aura, allowing you to import it. To import someone else's Auras, you must copy the code from their Aura and paste it in the Import window of the New WeakAura menu. ![]() However, the most common way to share Auras is to export it to text and then share in an outside source, like Wago.io, which has its own category for Classic WeakAuras now! You can grab the code to export your own Aura by right-clicking it and selecting Export to String. You can share Auras you created in-game by shift-clicking an Aura with your chat open, so it will be added in chat, allowing people that read it to import it from you. ![]() The best part of the addon, however, is that you can share WeakAuras easily, allowing everyone to use it, even if they are not proficient at coding.
